KFC Trials New Delivery During Lockdown
McDonalds, Burger King and Subway have all closed under the pressures of lockdown and are slowly opening to the public for collections and deliveries, but one chain of KFC has opened again... with a twist...
A KFC franchise in the East Midlands has opened its drive through windows once again, but not for customers to collect their orders.
The franchise now operates on a 14.00- 17.00, then 18.00 - 20.00 time basis allowing only 2 members of staff to build, pack and fry one order at a time. Another employee then sits by the drive through window, passing orders to delivery drivers.
But when low on delivery drivers, a 4th employee stands on the roof with the orders and delivers them from a helicopter pad on the roof - with a drone.
The new campaign slogan for this tasty act of delivery has been tagged lined "Now Your Buckets Truly Have Wings!"
