This project focuses on the human experience of Disgust. The main theory behind this project is based on the Theory of Discuss written in a collection of documents by Winfried Menninghaus.
The project focuses on characters presented as Clowns as indidual person's experiencing discuss - removing any face to the human reaction.

This video piece explores the disgusting on a visual level, as Scoulding is dressed as a clown, filling her gob with Skittles to then stick onto a clear acrylic sheet to show her teeth marks and silyva everywhere.

Scoulding thoroughly documents her work, and this is a great example of a live performance in front of an audience, between herself and 2 participants.
The acts that occur within this piece are a take on what many people find disgusting - poor dinner manners.

This is the final artwork which presents Disgust to the audience through visuals, but also with rotting food and overwhelmingly sweet smells when installed at the exhibition.
