The News?
TheNews? is a final piece featured in the online exhibition, The Space Between Us 2020. The exhbition faced challenges for all 37 artists, during the COVID-19 pandemic, they were no longer allowed in studio spaces and all had to work from home, creating large restrictions on the work.
Scoulding had intended this piece to be a radio room installation in the studio space at The University of Lincoln during the Final Degree Show.

TheNews? is a Fake News website built by Scoulding during the COVID-19 Lockdown in the UK. The news shared on the site is an expression of disinformation and should not be taken as fact. Humour plays a large part in this artwork as it is not by any means intended to offend anyone. But, it is intended to poke fun as the fake news, bullshittery adn lies spread by the news on a day to day bass, especially during a time where the truth is so much more important to keep people safe.
Days after submission of this artwork, an image was released showing that a news broadcaster had released images of "coffins in Italy" during the pandemic, but the same news clip had been used previously in 2011. Over all, this website pokes fun at all the sh*t in the world, and we just need to laugh at some stupid stories that could well be true.
